Problem Statement:

Blood donation camps can face a variety of issues.A few problems include the failure to effectively manage a donor network, have to up-to-date records of the blood units available at each blood bank, finding suitable donors, not having enough volunteers to donate blood, and lack of funding.Maintaining a steady supply of blood is also a challenge, as many centers rely on donations from local communities and may struggle to keep up with demand during peak times. Not to mention various programs that we conduct for citizens go unnoticed because of a lack of awareness.

We aim at creating a website that solves such problems by creating a platform where blood donors can register conveniently and it is easier for staff to maintain blood records.

Approach followed :

We started by making the first frame through figma wherein it describes our NGO and stories about people who got saved. These stories inspire us and also others to become donors themselves.

While designing the flow of our website we came across some limitations in it's architecture like age and health conditions among other situations where a person is not eligible to donate blood. To solve this problem, before registering a person has to answer the following set of questions:

..Are you above 18 years old?

..Are you below 65 years old?

..Had a tattoo in the last 4 months?

..Have you taken any recreational drugs?

..Low in iron?

..Have any serious heart condition?

..Been pregnant or given birth recently?

The registration eligibility is checked on the basis of people's answers to these questions.

Then a frame was made to take the details of the donor so we have the information of the donor and blood requests can be made in emergency situations.

Additionally for the convenience of staff a frame is made to search a particular blood group.
